Awoke to sunshine and warm temps. The apartment was very warm last night,
partly due to the Mexican food. Late
start, over to Bren’s around noon. Dean
had a very fussy night but it’s hard to tell because he is so cute. We pull all the baby stuff together and set
out for Girdwood the ski valley along Turnagain Arm. This continues to be one of the most
beautiful drives in the world and one of our favorite. The mountains are covered in green with small
spots of snow. The tide is coming in and
the foliage is thick and green. We spot
a mountain sheep on the way. We drive
into the valley and go for lunch at Chair 5.
Dean’s first restaurant experience and he is very agreeable while we
eat. On Uncle Brian’s recommendation we
visit the voted # 1 most beautiful laundromat in the world!!!!! On up the valley to Crow Creek Mine to visit
where Brenna and Zach got married. The
site is beautiful as ever with flower baskets everywhere. Visitors are up here trying their hand at
gold panning. We take some pics, one
with Dean and Mom in front of the sign.
Less than two years ago Dean was but a twinkle in their eye. Back to Anchorage for some face time. Dean is changing very fast now. He is focusing on our faces and objects in
the room. His smiles are coming more
frequently and less often as gas.
Leaving the cutie and returning to apartment for the night. We are always tired at night, not sure how
Mom and Dad do it!
